Unfortunately, most insurances do not cover care, visit costs or prescriptions for weight loss efforts alone. While a healthier diet, and frequent activity are helpful with weight loss, medications including GLP-1 injections like Ozempic are being shown to improve many patients' attaining there weight goals. Family Medical Center integrates diet and exercise recommendations into most care. When medications may be useful to assist, we may make recommendations that are not covered by your insurance.
